A Little Background

Shirley Harrison grew up in south Florida but she settled in the metro Atlanta after college and has called it home ever since. An ardent reader all her life, Shirley showed a passion for writing at an early age, writing skits and plays through high school and short stories in college.

She didn’t embrace novel writing as a serious dream until the late 90′s when she joined a critique group of unpublished but strong women writers.  All of the women in that group are now multi published authors. For Shirley’s effort, she has published six novels of romantic suspense & mystery and one of women’s fiction.

Currently, Shirley is editing two women’s fiction novels and she is about to re-launch her first published print novel, PICTURE PERFECT–the first of three books in the Hardy/Spenser series, as an e-book. The remaining two books in the series will soon follow as e-books, with the fourth as yet unpublished novel in the series just completed.  She is also adapting one of her early novels into a screenplay.

When Shirley finds the time, she enjoys gardening and exercise.  She is also an accomplished oil painter.
